Ordering and personalization
How do I add a name, initials or a monogram to an item?
Type it into the personalization box on the product page before you add it to the cart. Enter letters in the exact order you want them stitched. If you want a specific thread color or placement, add it in the same box or send a message after ordering.
What is the difference between personalizing a design and a custom order?
Personalizing means adding your name, initials, year or thread color to a design already in the shop. A custom order is a new design, a new layout or a bulk run. Personalized items ship on the standard timeline, typically 5 to 7 business days. Custom orders are quoted first, with the timeline set on the order.
Can I choose my own thread colors?
Yes. Every personalized listing has a thread color chart in its photos. Pick a color from the chart and type it in the personalization box. Metallic gold and silver thread are available on sashes for a small upcharge.
Can I ask a question before I order?
Yes. Use the contact form or message the shop on Instagram or Etsy. Replies usually come within a day.
What if I made a mistake in my personalization?
Message right away. Nothing is stitched until the order reaches the production queue, so a correction within a few hours of ordering is almost always free. Once stitching has started, the letters cannot be changed.
Sashes: homecoming, prom and senior night
What is a bouquet sash?
A satin ribbon, about 57 inches long and 4.5 inches wide, embroidered on both sides and tied around a flower bouquet. One side carries the occasion, such as HOCO 2026 or Senior HOCO 2026. The other side carries a single initial or a monogram in the thread color you choose. The ribbon is white two-layer satin that holds its shape and resists fading.
Do you make prom bouquet sashes?
Yes. The prom sash uses the same white satin ribbon with the prom year on one side and an initial or monogram on the other. Prom sashes are listed after the new year. If you need one before then, use the custom order form.
Can I get a sash for senior night, graduation or a birthday?
Senior HOCO 2026 is an option on the homecoming sash listing. For other wording, such as a sport, a graduation year or a birthday, send a custom order request with the exact text you want. Sashes take standard embroidery thread only, no glitter.
How far ahead should I order a sash?
Order at least two weeks before the dance or game. Sashes are made to order and typically ship in 5 to 7 business days, with shipping adding 2 to 5 days on top. In homecoming and prom season the ship date is confirmed when your order comes in. Rush requests are handled by message when the schedule allows.
Does the sash come with flowers?
No. The sash ties around any bouquet. It fits a single stem, a hand-tied bouquet or a florist arrangement because the ribbon is long enough to tie a full bow on any size.
Mascot, team and school gear
Can you put my school mascot or team name on a hat or sweatshirt?
Yes. Most hats, sweatshirts, tees and blankets in the shop can carry a mascot, school name, team name or player number. Choose the listing, pick the garment color, and type the mascot and text in the personalization box. Mascot art is stitched as embroidery or glitter applique depending on the listing.
Do you do bulk or team orders?
Yes. Team, booster club and spirit wear orders are quoted as custom orders. Send the garment, quantity, sizes and the artwork or mascot name through the custom order form and you get pricing back for your quantity.
Can you match my school colors?
Yes. Name the school and the colors in the personalization box or the custom order form. Thread is matched to the closest shade on the thread chart. Garments come in the blank colors shown on each listing’s color chart.
What is the Team Gear shop?
The Team Gear page holds the ready-to-order spirit wear built for specific teams and programs, including the DaddyHack Pro Shop. Items there already carry the team logo, so you only pick size and color.
Do you make senior shirts and sweatshirts?
Yes. Senior sweatshirts are glitter and sequin applique with embroidered details. Pick your graduation year from the dropdown, then add a name on the sleeve if you want one.
Holiday and seasonal designs
When do holiday designs come out?
Fall and Halloween designs come first, then Christmas. Homecoming sashes are listed in late summer and prom sashes after the new year. Seasonal items are made to order like everything else, so order at least two weeks before the holiday.
Can I personalize a holiday design?
Most seasonal tees and sweatshirts can take a name or initials. The listing says so in the options if it can. Holiday designs that are a fixed graphic, such as the Halloween and Christmas tees, are not personalized.
Do you make holiday items for groups or teachers?
Yes, as a custom order. Matching family sets, teacher gifts and class sets are quoted by quantity through the custom order form. Allow three weeks before the holiday for a group order.
Glitter, sequin, rhinestone and care
How do I wash glitter, sequin or rhinestone pieces?
Turn the garment inside out, wash cold on gentle, and hang or lay flat to dry. Do not iron directly on glitter, sequins or stones. Never put rhinestone pieces in the dryer. The full breakdown by product type is in the Embroidery Care and Washing Guide.
Will glitter applique crack or shed?
No. The glitter and sequin fabric is stitched down as applique, not printed or glued, so it does not crack, peel or shed with normal washing. Follow the care instructions above and it lasts the life of the garment.
Are rhinestones glued or heat set?
Heat set. Each stone is bonded to the fabric with heat, which is stronger than glue. Washing inside out on cold keeps them in place.
How do I care for embroidered hats?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash structured hats. Foam trucker hats and dad hats keep their shape best when air dried on a flat surface.
Turnaround, shipping and pickup
How long does it take to make and ship an order?
Standard designs with personalization typically ship in 5 to 7 business days. Custom designs are quoted on the order, usually 10 to 14 business days from final design approval, longer if a special order blank has to be shipped in first. During busy seasons the timeline is confirmed for your specific order when it comes in. Everything is made to order in house.
How do you ship, and how much does it cost?
Orders ship USPS from Texas at the flat rate shown at checkout. Orders placed through the Etsy shop ship free over $35.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Porch pickup is available in Frisco, Texas. Choose Porch Pickup at checkout and the address is sent when the order is ready, typically 5 to 7 business days for standard designs.
Can you rush an order?
Sometimes. Message before ordering with the date you need it. Rush is possible when the blank is in stock and the design is already set up. Rush shipping is charged at cost.
Custom orders
Can I order something that is not in the shop?
Yes. Send the idea through the custom order request form with the item, the text or artwork, the quantity and the date you need it. You get a quote and a mockup before anything is stitched.
What does custom embroidery cost?
Personalized shop designs are priced on the listing. Fully custom work is priced on the ask: the item, the stitch count, the quantity and the artwork involved. There is no set range, and the quote comes before you commit.
I have a wild idea. Can you make it happen?
Probably. Lake life, bachelorette, booster club, pet portraits and inside jokes have all come through. If it fits in an embroidery hoop or on a heat press, send it in.
